- La maestria artigiana si percepisce anche nella costruzione blake, una tecnica per la realizzazione delle calzature, in cui un'unica cucitura tiene unite la suola, la fodera, la tomaia e il sottopiede precedentemente assemblati dall'artigiano in modo provvisorio. Questa cucitura artigianale, che si effettua dopo l'estrazione della forma, viene effettuata grazie ad una macchina inventata dal tecnico americano Blake.
